The calm retreat is an opportunity for you to relax fully, to rest and restore your energy.
Your time and energy are precious but taking time out for yourself creates space for you to reset; to come back to center and connect with an inner sense of strength, presence, and calm.

As you deepen your connection to nature, you deepen your connection to yourself, restoring your sense of inner trust and strength.

The Calm Retreat experience with Lucille will take you on a journey from stress and tension to balance, ease, and flow. To connect with the wisdom of your body and move towards a greater sense of health and wellbeing.

Take some time just for you to rest, reset and restore, to relieve stress, calm your body, to come back to centre; to feel centred and strong.

The weekend will be carefully curated to include a beautiful blend of:

  • Movement practices (Pilates, Yoga, Intuitive Movement),
  • Stillness and Meditation
  • Journalling
  • Being in nature
  • Forest Bathing Experience
  • Fire Ritual
  • Time in our hot tub and relaxation area
  • Nourishing food

Come back home to feeling more like yourself again as you move your body in an intuitive way and rest into stillness.

Arrive at Sandhill House and leave all your responsibilities at the door. Be nourished with gorgeous food while you rest and restore in our wellness area. Give yourself the gift of time to listen to your body and honour what it needs in each moment.

There will be opportunities to experience the restorative power of Being in nature while also having the precious gift of time to do absolutely nothing!

Itinerary

Day One

1pm-3pm: You are invited to arrive in your own time at Sandhill House.

Welcome refreshments will be available.

3pm: Opening circle.

4pm-5pm: Beach walk

6pm: Movement and yoga nidra meditation

7.30pm: Welcome dinner

9pm: As night time falls, we will gather around the fire in the lodge; to reflect and connect, and to set our own personal intentions for the weekend ahead.

Day Two

7-8am: light, healthy snacks and teas/coffees will be available in the kitchen.

8-9am: Movement / Meditation to begin the day.

9.30am: Breakfast feast.

11-1pm: Forest Bathing / Nature experience.

1.30pm: Delicious and healthy lunch.

free time with the option of a sea swim.

5-6.30pm: Movement / Meditation to integrate the day.

7pm: Dinner will be served / Fire side gathering.

9pm: Restful Yoga Nidra Meditation to prepare for a blissful night of deep, restorative sleep.

Final Day

7-8am: light, healthy snacks and teas/coffees will be available in the kitchen.

7.15am: Sunrise swim (optional).

8-9am: Movement / Meditation to begin the day

9am: Light breakfast.

9.30am: Lucille will lead an experiential journey in nature.

11am: relaxed room check-out.

11.30am: Farewell Brunch.

12.30pm: Closing circle to complete your weekend experience.

1pm: depart for home.

Frequently asked questions

I'M NEW TO YOGA, WILL THE RETREAT SUIT ME?

Everyone is welcome. No previous experience is necessary. Our movement is about moving in a way that feels suitable for each person in their own body. I will always give alternatives if something feels too challenging.

WHAT TIME IS CHECK-IN?

Check-in is at 3pm, Departure is 1pm.

IS THERE WIFI?

We have a strong wifi connection throughout the house for guests.

WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING?

We provide 1 hand towel and 1 bath towel per person, hand soap, hair-dryers and yoga equipment, Please bring anything else you require, including outdoor wear for being in nature. I recommend to bring some waterproof gear with you in case it’s needed and suitable shoes for walking.

Please bring loose clothing that you feel comfortable moving in, extra layers for warmth, a water bottle that you can refill, and a journal/pen. 

We move in bare feet in the studio space.

Bring your own towel, swimsuit and flip flops for the hot tub and beach if you wish.

I HAVE A FOOD ALLERGY , CAN YOU ACCOMMODATE ME?

Yes we can, please can you let us know your severe food allergy upon booking.

What if I have pain or previous injury?

Please do inform me of any injuries or ongoing pain issues. It is important to remember that you are in charge of your practice and well-being. Never force yourself to do something uncomfortable; modify and take breaks as you need.

HOW DO I ARRANGE A MASSAGE DURING MY STAY?

If you know in advance that you would like a treatment please contact us to arrange.

Sandhill House is located just outside the village of Dunfanaghy, on the N56 following the Wild Atlantic Way, 22 miles / 35 minutes by road from Letterkenny Co.Donegal.
It is on the left handside of the road, a short distance after the Cove Restaurant.

Cancellation Policy: Your booking may be cancelled no later than 14 days before the start date. Cancellations within 14 days are non-refundable and non-transferable.
