Do I need prior experience in yoga or meditation to attend a retreat or workshop?

 

Everyone is welcome. No previous experience is necessary. Our movement is about moving in a way that feels suitable for each person in their own body. I will always give alternatives if something feels too challenging.

I have a food allergy, can you accommodate me?

 

Yes, we can. Please, can you let us know your food allergy upon booking.

What if I have pain or a previous injury?

 

Please do inform me of any injuries or ongoing pain issues. It is important to remember that you are in charge of your practice and well-being. Never force yourself to do something uncomfortable; modify and take breaks as you need.

What do I need to bring to a Studio Be Evening Workshop?

 

Please wear loose clothing that you feel comfortable moving in, extra layers for warmth, and a water bottle that you can refill. We move in bare feet in the studio space.

What do I need to bring to a Studio Be Day Retreat?

 

Please wear loose clothing that you feel comfortable moving in, extra layers for warmth, a water bottle that you can refill, and a journal/pen. We move in bare feet in the studio space.
Please bring outdoor wear for being in nature. I recommend bringing some waterproof gear with you in case it’s needed and suitable shoes for walking.

What time is check-in?

 

Check-in is at 3pm. Departure is at 1pm.

Is there WiFi?

We have a strong WiFi connection throughout the house for guests.

What should I bring to a Sandhill House Retreat?

 

We provide one hand towel and one bath towel per person, hand soap, hairdryers, and yoga equipment. Please bring anything else you require, including outdoor wear for being in nature. I recommend bringing some waterproof gear with you in case it’s needed and suitable shoes for walking. 

Please bring loose clothing that you feel comfortable moving in, extra layers for warmth. We move in bare feet in the studio space.

Please bring your own beach towel, swimsuit and flip flops for the hot tub and beach if you wish.

All our guests will receive a Sandhill House refillable water bottle and a Sandhill House journal and pen.

How do I arrange a massage during my stay?

If you know in advance that you would like a treatment, please contact us to arrange.

 

Are pets allowed at the retreat?

Although we are animal lovers, pets are not allowed at the retreats out of consideration for the other guests in the house.

Is the retreat suitable for solo travelers?

Going on a solo retreat has a lot of benefits. Traveling to a solo retreat invites positive change, as well as freedom for flexibility, personal growth, and self-empowerment.

What is the cancellation policy?

Cancellation policy: Your booking may be canceled no later than 14 days before the start date. Cancellations within 14 days are non-refundable and non-transferable.

Sandhill House is located just outside the village of Dunfanaghy, on the N56 following the Wild Atlantic Way, 22 miles / 35 minutes by road from Letterkenny Co.Donegal.
It is on the left handside of the road, a short distance after the Cove Restaurant.
